X has unveiled Live Studio, a new desktop-based livestreaming platform designed to simplify the way creators plan, launch and manage live broadcasts. Integrated within Creator Studio, the new feature introduces a centralized dashboard that allows users to create livestreams, upload custom thumbnails, schedule broadcasts in advance and monitor audience engagement from a single interface. The launch reflects X’s growing focus on video content as it seeks to strengthen its position in the creator economy and compete more aggressively with established livestreaming platforms.

The new Live Studio provides creators with greater control over their broadcasts by offering audience management options, real-time chat moderation and detailed analytics during live sessions. Users can view concurrent viewer counts, audience demographics, device usage and engagement metrics while a stream is in progress, allowing them to better understand viewer behavior and optimize future broadcasts. The platform also enables creators to choose who can access their livestreams, including public audiences, verified users or subscribers.

Alongside the launch of Live Studio, X has announced a $1 million creator incentive programme aimed at encouraging more livestreaming on the platform. While the company has yet to reveal how the rewards will be distributed or the eligibility requirements, the initiative signals X’s intention to attract more creators and increase live video activity. The company is expected to provide additional details about the payout programme in the coming weeks.

Live Studio is currently available to X Premium subscribers through Creator Studio and replaces the platform’s previous livestream management interface with a more comprehensive desktop experience. As live video continues to play an increasingly important role in digital content creation, the new tools are expected to make professional-quality broadcasting more accessible while helping creators build stronger engagement with their audiences through interactive, real-time content.
