Prime Minister Imran Khan from the get go had made an announcement that the new government is to emphasize on education and the capitalization of human resource potential. Therefore, for that purpose, the PM constituted a Task Force on Technology-Driven Knowledge economy.
In a recent meeting of the Task Force that was chaired by the Prime Minister, it was revealed that the basic aim behind this meeting was to discuss the strategies to promote Technology Driven Economy. The task force at the meeting discussed various strategies for the purpose and also pointed out the role higher education plays an important role in the economic development of a country.
Furthermore, the task force also discussed the promotion of Artificial Intelligence, Digitalization, TechnicalSkills and DevelopmentofHumanresource. At the meeting it was also mentioned that the government is now focusing on shifting towards technology as it is to help transform the economy and will capitalize on human resource potential.
The meeting was attended by the Finance Minister Asad Umar, Planning Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar, IT Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, AdvisorCommerce Abdul Razaq Dawood, Professor Dr. Atta ur Rehman, Dr. Tariq Binori, Mr. Yousaf Hussain, ChairmanIgnite, along with other representatives of the business community and industrialists.
