The Pakistan Citizen Portal was launched in October 2018 as an innovative program where citizens can lodge complaints, get their issues addressed and gain valuable insight on improving grassroots governance.
Recently it has been announced by a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government official Akif Khan that the Pakistan Citizen Portal app has been shortlisted for an award at the World Government Summit in Dubai.
Akif Khan is the Deputy Director of E-Governance of KP, and also the man behind the Citizen Portal app. He, among other officials, is to represent Pakistan in Dubai.
This is the first time a government app has been shortlisted for the awards. According to him, the finalists will be announced in the 7th edition of the three-day event in Dubai.
The Pakistan Citizen Portal app has been shortlisted for the Best Mobile Government Apps, however, the finalist will be announced in the World Govt Summit in Dubai.
