The entrepreneurship landscape of Pakistan is consistently growing and it is becoming important to engage with ecosystems across US to enable the growth in the local startups.
Therefore, in order to enable growth and sustainability, the Innovation District 92 (ID92) has secured a grant that is backed by the City of Detroit to help promote Pakistani entrepreneurs. The D2Pak entrepreneurship exchange program is a joint effort of Global Ties Detroit and ID92.
D2Pak is a fully funded two weeks exchange program for 5-7 Pakistani entrepreneurs. The cohort will be based in an incubator in Detroit
Furthermore, as part of the collaboration, a delegation comprising of investors, entrepreneurs, business consultants, and chamber representatives is also to visit Pakistan to learn about business opportunities, challenges, trends and overall business climate in the country. During the visit the delegation will share information on potential opportunities and possible partnerships in SE Michigan.
Speaking on the occasion, Nabeel Qadeer said, “My team, led by Faizan Mahmood will be engaging with stakeholders in Lahore and Islamabad as the delegation interviews and selects the cohort of Pakistani entrepreneurs who shall travel to Detroit in months to come.”
