University of Sargodha (UoS) from Pakistan met with Chinese institutions and businesses in Beijing to discuss collaboration on education, science, technology, and talent exchange under the Belt and Road Initiative.
UoS Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas expressed a strong desire for deeper cooperation with China in various fields. Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ghulam Yasin identified potential areas for collaboration, including cultural exchange, sustainable development, education, and workforce development. He proposed joint research centers, student and faculty exchanges, and curriculum development to focus on science and technology cooperation, particularly in renewable energy, healthcare, environmental protection, and IT.
UoS Faculty of Science Dean Prof. Dr. Aamir Ali Chaudhry called for research and exchange program collaboration in areas like agriculture biotechnology, food science, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability. He highlighted the Belt and Road Initiative’s role in fostering global partnerships.
Signed MoU between UoS and SupperAccuracy Science & Technology Co., Ltd. will introduce KylinRay technology to Pakistan, establish a Cancer Research Center, and promote medical education activities. Discussions are ongoing to explore further collaboration in construction science, talent training, and other areas.
This meeting signifies Pakistan and China’s commitment to strengthening collaboration in education, science, technology, and talent exchange through the Belt and Road Initiative framework.
