UIT University has announced the STEM Horizon Conference 2026, inviting students, final-year students, researchers and professionals to present their research, innovations and final-year projects at the two-day event in Karachi. The conference will take place on November 4 and 5, 2026, at UIT University under the theme “Connect | Innovate | Build a Smarter Tomorrow.” Participants have been invited to submit extended abstracts for consideration, with the submission window running from September 15 to October 10, 2026. The conference is being positioned as an interdisciplinary platform where members of the STEM community can present their work, receive feedback and connect with researchers, industry representatives and academic professionals.
The conference will provide participants with an opportunity to showcase research, innovation projects and final-year work before researchers, experts and peers. These include IEEE Humanitarian Technology Activities Region 10, IEEE Women in Engineering Karachi Section, IEEE Student Branch at UIT University, IEEE Education Society Karachi Section and the IEEE Women in Engineering UIT University Affinity Group, alongside UIT University itself. The involvement of these organizations places research, education, technology and professional networking among the key areas of the conference. The event also highlights Artificial Intelligence and innovation through its associated focus areas, while the broader program is open to research and projects across the STEM spectrum. Applicants are required to submit a two to four-page extended abstract in PDF format using the IEEE template. The submission period is open from September 15 through October 10, giving interested participants until the stated deadline to prepare and submit their work. The registration fee is Rs. 1,500 for general participants, while women and IEEE members can register for Rs. 1,000.
