The FoodTech Challenge (FTC), a global competition focused on identifying and supporting innovative tech-driven solutions for food systems, has announced its four winners.

The FTC champions early-stage startups tackling the pressing challenges of food insecurity in arid, hot, and underserved regions. These regions often face limited access to agricultural innovations and underinvestment in traditional farming practices.

The four winning startups will have the opportunity to advance their tech-driven solutions in the UAE and other countries in the Global South. By providing these startups with the necessary resources and support, the FTC aims to contribute to the transformation of food systems and address food insecurity in these vulnerable regions.

The FTC’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting emerging technologies is evident in its selection of these four exceptional startups. Their innovative solutions have the potential to revolutionize the way we produce, distribute, and consume food, ensuring a more sustainable and equitable future for all.

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
