Find My Doctor, a Pakistan-based telemedicine firm, said that it has raised $5 million in a Pre-Series A financing from TPL e-Ventures, TPL Corp’s investment arm, and TPL Insurance. With the fresh capital, the business aims to create dark storefronts, improve its technology, and hire new people.

Find My Doctor is available in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Multan, Peshawar, and Hyderabad at the moment. By the end of 2022, the business hopes to expand to ten more cities.

CEO TPL Insurance, Muhammad Aminuddin, also stated, “Being Pakistan’s leading Insurtech, TPL Insurance continually utilizes the digital paradigm to disrupt the insurance industry. Our efforts are singularly focused on making insurance easier and accessible for all, as we look forward to building upon the same vision, set forth by Find My Doctor.”

Saad Siddiqui, the founder and CEO of Find My Doctor, commented on the situation., “We are thrilled to achieve this milestone and will be scaling our operations significantly while experimenting with new products and services. Luckily, we now have the team in place as we have hired our leaders from Tesla, Bykea, and an insurance startup.”

The transaction is subject to the successful completion of certain conditions and regulatory processes.

Apart from core technology, the Healthtech app intends to improve its insurance-related services with the help of TPL Insurance, Pakistan’s largest retail insurance provider. Despite the fact that insurance is vital to healthcare services around the world, it has yet to reach Pakistan’s larger population, allowing space for significant expansion for any organization that can provide reach and affordability. Find My Doctor aspires to provide unique features to both the general public and the corporate sector in order to make insurance enrollment and make it more convenient
Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the healthcare industry continues to see an exponential increase in traffic. The nature of the epidemic, on the other hand, highlighted several inefficiencies in physical healthcare infrastructures, one of which was the difficulty to safely and promptly serve enormous crowds. On the other hand, telehealth and doorstep services have proven to be rapid, safe, convenient, and effective. With 250,000 satisfied customers, 90,000 lab tests, 400,000 doctor visits, and more than 150 partnerships Find My Doctor is an upcoming leader amongst healthcare apps in Pakistan.
