TikTok has released its list of the most searched words and topics in Pakistan for 2025, offering a detailed view into the interests, cultural moments, and practical needs of users across the country. From cricket updates and trending entertainment to product reviews, mehndi designs, and fitness tips, the findings reveal how TikTok has evolved beyond a content-sharing platform into an important discovery tool for everyday life. Users increasingly rely on the app to explore destinations, follow national moments, and access guidance from creators who understand local culture and trends.

According to Umais Naveed, Content Operations Lead, South Asia at TikTok, the platform has become an integral part of daily routines in Pakistan. People are now using TikTok not only to watch videos but also to actively search for recommendations, context, and information in real time. From tracking major cricket events to planning trips, learning new skills, or checking reviews before making purchases, TikTok serves as a source of practical knowledge and inspiration. This shift highlights a growing trend where users turn to the app for purposeful discovery alongside entertainment.

Travel and leisure searches dominated the top categories, reflecting Pakistanis’ growing interest in exploring the country’s natural and cultural landmarks. Destinations such as Islamabad, Altit Fort in Hunza, Chenab River, Lahore, and Karachi were among the most searched places. Users frequently relied on creator-led itineraries, visual storytelling, and reviews to plan trips, showing a preference for interactive and relatable content when making travel decisions. At the same time, major sporting events, especially cricket, featured prominently in searches, including Babar Azam’s 100-century milestone, Pakistan versus South Africa, and Pakistan versus India matches, illustrating how TikTok functions as a platform to relive and engage with significant national moments.

Entertainment, music, and social trends also shaped user activity on TikTok in 2025. Popular TV shows included Turkish series, Tamasha, Meri Bahuein, Mein Manto Nahi Hoon, and Hum Awards 2025, while top soundtracks such as Jhol by Maanu & Annural Khalid and Supreme by Shubh captured the audience’s attention. Food searches highlighted Lava Burger, Biryani, Aalu, Dubai chocolate, and Matcha drinks, indicating how TikTok informs culinary interests. Musicians like Havi, Talha Anjum, Nimra Mehra, Ali Zafar, and Hassan Raheem, as well as creators Alina Amir, Jannat Mirza, Khizar Umer, Kanwal Aftab, and Sid Mr Rapper, were among the most searched personalities. Additionally, trending searches encompassed practical and cultural topics such as product reviews, software updates, mehndi designs, and AI usage, demonstrating that users turn to TikTok for both entertainment and information.

The 2025 search trends underline TikTok’s expanding role in Pakistan as a platform that blends entertainment with utility. It reflects changing user behavior, where cultural engagement, informed decision-making, and lifestyle exploration converge in a single digital space. For creators, brands, and marketers, understanding these search patterns provides valuable insight into the preferences and priorities of the Pakistani audience, helping them tailor content and services to align with evolving user interests and real-life needs.
