The Science City has opened registrations for its AI Explorers programme, inviting children aged 12 to 16 from across Pakistan and abroad to take part in a structured introduction to artificial intelligence and data science. The programme is scheduled to begin on August 29, 2026, running every Saturday and Sunday over six weeks, with sessions held from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
The course consists of 12 live sessions of one hour each, delivered as a live STEM experience accessible to participants regardless of location, allowing children outside Pakistan to join the sessions as well. According to the programme’s outline, the curriculum covers foundational concepts in artificial intelligence and machine learning, practical Python and data projects, and an introduction to generative AI, computer vision, and large language models, aimed at giving younger learners hands on exposure to these topics through real world projects and interactive activities.
The programme will be led by two instructors with academic backgrounds from NED University of Engineering and Technology. Aliza Jahanzaib, an AI instructor and researcher at Xpace Technologies currently pursuing an MS in Artificial Intelligence at NED University, will provide instruction focused on practical AI skills. Bisma Samad, an MS Data Science graduate from the same university, will also lead sessions, with an emphasis on making AI and technology concepts accessible and engaging for younger students.
The course carries a fee of Rs5,000, with an early bird and sibling discount of Rs4,000 available for eligible registrants. Organizers have described seating as limited, encouraging early registration for interested families. The programme adds to a growing number of structured AI and STEM education initiatives being introduced for school aged children in Pakistan, as interest in early exposure to artificial intelligence concepts continues to expand beyond university level training programs into younger age groups.
