The Duskbloods could be set to receive its first major preview coverage shortly before the upcoming closed network test, following a leak that reportedly revealed an early preview listing. The FromSoftware title remains one of the more closely watched Nintendo Switch 2 games scheduled for 2026, with limited gameplay information available since its announcement. A preview listing connected to German gaming outlet Game Two reportedly appeared online before being removed, suggesting that selected media outlets may have been preparing hands-on coverage ahead of the network test scheduled to begin on August 21. The reported timing has increased expectations that more information about the game could become available before players enter the test.

The leaked listing reportedly pointed to August 20 as the date for a preview video covering The Duskbloods. The listing was later removed, leaving uncertainty over whether it was published prematurely or represented an incorrect schedule. The possibility of early previews is particularly significant because FromSoftware has revealed relatively little detailed gameplay footage since announcing the game. The Duskbloods is being developed as a multiplayer action role playing game for Nintendo Switch 2 and will feature player versus player and player versus environment elements involving up to eight participants. Players will take control of Bloodsworn characters with different abilities and weapons while competing in matches that combine direct combat with encounters against computer controlled enemies.

The upcoming closed network test is expected to provide players with their first substantial opportunity to experience The Duskbloods directly. The test is scheduled to run from August 21 through August 24, giving selected participants access to the multiplayer experience before the full release. However, restrictions reportedly prevent participants from freely sharing screenshots and video captured during the test, which could make official previews particularly important for players who want to learn more about the game before its release. A preview embargo being lifted ahead of the test would allow gaming outlets to provide impressions, explain core mechanics and offer additional information about how FromSoftware has structured its multiplayer system.

The Duskbloods is currently scheduled to launch for Nintendo Switch 2 during 2026, although an exact release date has not been announced. The game is directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and combines FromSoftware’s established action role playing approach with a multiplayer format built around competitive and cooperative elements. The game features more than a dozen Bloodsworn characters, each with distinct weapons and abilities, while matches can include different objectives and events that influence how players approach encounters. With the network test now approaching and the reported preview leak pointing to coverage on August 20, players could soon receive a clearer picture of the game’s mechanics, progression systems and overall multiplayer structure.
