Pokémon and Polaroid are collaborating on a new collection of instant cameras, films and accessories to celebrate the Pokémon franchise’s 30th anniversary. The collection features three themed cameras based on existing Polaroid models, with designs inspired by Pikachu, Sylveon and the iconic Poké Ball. Preorders are scheduled to open on August 25 through Polaroid and Pokémon Center, with the collection set to be released on October 5. The collaboration combines instant photography with Pokémon themed designs, giving fans and collectors new versions of Polaroid’s existing cameras while introducing matching films and accessories.

Two of the cameras are based on the compact Polaroid Go Generation 3. The Polaroid Go Camera Generation 3 Pokémon Pikachu Edition features a yellow body inspired by Pikachu, along with a strap designed around the Pokémon’s recognizable tail. The Sylveon Edition uses a white and pink design with a multicolored strap inspired by Sylveon’s ribbons and bows. Both cameras maintain the compact design of the Polaroid Go Generation 3 and include the stronger flash and more zoomed in lens introduced with the newer generation. The Pikachu and Sylveon editions will each be priced at $99.99, giving fans a smaller instant camera option with character themed styling.

The third camera is the Polaroid Now Camera Generation 3 Pokémon Edition, which takes inspiration from the Poké Ball with a red, white and black design. The camera features a shutter button styled after the Poké Ball and uses the larger format supported by the Polaroid Now line. The third generation model includes improved ranging sensors for its two lens autofocus system and a repositioned light meter intended to provide more optimized exposures. Alongside the cameras, Polaroid is introducing Pokémon themed instant film. The Polaroid Go film will include Pikachu and Sylveon themed frames, while the Polaroid Color i-Type Film Pokémon Edition will feature a wider selection of Pokémon designs, including characters such as Togepi, Mew and Snorlax.

The collection will also include several Pokémon themed accessories, including a Poké Ball inspired case for the Polaroid Go, a themed photo album and a camera strap. The new instant film packs will feature Pokémon designs on their frames and dark slides, with Polaroid also preparing an online portal that will allow collectors to keep track of the Pokémon designs they collect. The Polaroid Now Camera Generation 3 Pokémon Edition will cost $139.99, while the themed Polaroid Go film double packs will cost $24.99 and the Pokémon Edition Polaroid Color i-Type Film will cost $22.99. Preorders for the cameras, film and accessories will begin August 25, followed by the planned October 5 release.
