Pakistan’s First Science Channel

Pakistan Council of Science and Technology (PCST) in collaboration with Technology Times will soon launch Pakistan’s first Science channel.  The project named TechTV.pk, has recently started its beta version. The main objective of this web TV is to promote scientific culture and the youth’s interest in science, technology and innovations. 

 

Cyber Drill Certified

Asia Pacific Computer Emergency and Response Team (APCERT) organized the International Cyber Drill.  Pakistan has captured a leading position in an international cyber drill organized to build capacity of countries in area of cyber security and understand cyber attacks.  Pakistan has been taking part in cyber drills for last three years. 

Ufone Turns ISO 9001:2008 Certified

Ufone has been consistently working towards improving quality mechanisms within its Customer Operations (COPS) Department. Ufone has become successful in achieving ISO certification for COPS. The ISO 9001:2008 Certification Audit for COPS was conducted by a renowned Norwegian-based company called Det Norske Veritas (DNV).

It’s a Hole!

The 7th Mobilink Golf Tournament 2014 was held at the Islamabad Golf Club. Prizes were distributed among the winners and outstanding performers. The one day tournament in Islamabad concluded the 7th consecutive series of nationwide tournaments. The Islamabad leg of the competition attracted over 110 amateur golfers. 

 

LUMS to Help Soar PR

LUMS Faculty has voluntarily provided its services for the sake of revitalizing Pakistan Railways. For this matter, 16 PhDs hailing from the background of Finance, Marketing, Strategy, Organization Development and Operations are currently working on various projects with the PR. The objective is to support the public utility in a sustainable manner.
