PTCL Records 97% Increase in Profits

PTCL’s after-tax profit increased to a staggering Rs15.7 billion or Rs.3 per share for the year ending December 2013.  This translates to an increase of 97% compared with Rs. 8 billion or Rs. 0.23 per share it earned during financial year 2012. The broadband giant grossed Rs. 31 billion in sales during 2013, up 11% from its 2012 revenues that stood at Rs.118 billion.


Car Talks to Car: US Mandate Coming Soon 2017

U.S. regulators are crafting a rule that would require all new vehicles to be able to “talk” to one another.   A proposed rule mandating the so-called ‘vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology’ should be put in place before President Barack Obama leaves office in early 2017, DOT officials said.
