Issuance of 3G &4G license to be held on world telecom day

Mobile phone companies getting the green signal for the issuance of 3G &4G license on May, 17, 2014. It is expected that the issuance ceremony of 3G & 4G licenses to telecom companies, will be held on the World Telecom Day, May 17th 2014. During the auction, Mobilink, Ufone and Telenor won the license of 3G, whereas Zong won the license for both 3G &4G. The ceremony was to be held on May 10th 2014, but it was delayed due to the withholding tax issues. Furthermore, FBR asked the telecom regulators to collect 10% – moreover the actual license fee. The decision was refused by all of the telecom companies and the matter was sent further to the finance ministry, and the matter was resolved. PTA declared that all the operators are likely to make the payment by May 22nd 2014.

Samsung- wireless hard disk for the first time

Samsung is introducing its first wireless device at the cost of $179.  Samsung has introduced this wireless device in collaboration of Seagate. It possesses the capacity of 1.5TB and is able to stream content to five devices simultaneously at one time. It has a battery onboard, which can be used to charge external devices.Furthermore it has the capacity of holding 375,000 mp3 files, 750 movies and 425,000 pictures. It also creates its own Wi-Fi network which can be availed for usage.

Digital youth summit 2014

(Peshawar): Peshawar to host DYS 2014 the tech-expo and conference. This is the first ever tech-expo and conference that is going to be held in Peshawar from 21st to 22nd of May 2014, and will be held in cooperation of KPITB. The event will feature a speaker session from abroad and within the country. The expo is free of cost and open to general public as well. The conferences will posses of three themes, innovation, freelancing and startups. These three themes will be beneficial to those who opt for becoming entrepreneurs in future.

Most secured method to be used in elections

Biometric verification is the best way to avoid any kind of thwart in election. Unnecessary mishaps during voting will come to an end by the introduction of biometric verification method. This biometric system contains all the details, fingerprints, DNA details and vocal recognition. This system will ensure that each individual votes only once. It has now become an official way for the registration of SIMs in major parts of Pakistan.
