Tetra Pak has been awarded the Microsoft Intelligent Manufacturing Award 2026 in the Scale! category for its next-generation automation and digital portfolio, Tetra Pak Factory OS. The Scale! award recognises industrial solutions that deliver measurable impact across value chains, clients, and internal processes, addressing multiple levels of operational maturity. The recognition comes after a rigorous evaluation process, in which Tetra Pak presented its solution to an independent jury and was ultimately selected for the award. The formal recognition will take place at Hannover Messe on 22 April 2026.

Tetra Pak Factory OS is designed to help food and beverage producers enhance efficiency, reduce production costs, and introduce new products more quickly. Rising food prices and input costs are placing increasing pressure on producers globally, and the platform provides a solution by turning complex operational data into actionable insights. Awais Bin Nasim, Managing Director of Tetra Pak Pakistan, highlighted the potential of Pakistan’s food and beverage industry, noting that energy inefficiencies, supply disruptions, and fragmented data continue to pose challenges. He emphasised that Factory OS makes factory data usable at scale, allowing real-time, data-driven decisions that improve operational efficiency and reduce waste while maintaining product quality.

Deployable across facilities with varying levels of digital maturity, Tetra Pak Factory OS strengthens operational performance by bringing coherence, repeatability, and intelligence to end-to-end factory operations. The platform supports AI-driven manufacturing and provides a secure, layered infrastructure to protect both operations and data in an environment of heightened cyber risk. By converting real-time data into contextualised insights, Factory OS enables producers to make faster and smarter operational decisions, creating opportunities for growth and improved resilience.

The Microsoft Intelligent Manufacturing Award, jointly presented by Microsoft and Roland Berger, recognises innovative industrial solutions that leverage intelligent manufacturing technologies to deliver tangible results. Tetra Pak’s recognition in the Scale! category reflects the platform’s ability to deliver value across large-scale operations and diverse production processes. By integrating advanced automation and digital solutions, Tetra Pak Factory OS is supporting the evolution of manufacturing practices in the food and beverage sector and driving efficiency improvements that respond to global economic and operational challenges.
