Telenor Pakistan has finished the first stage of its flagship sustainability partnership with Orenda’s Taleemabad, staying true to its promise to increase access to education through technology.
By 2023, millions of Pakistani children who are not in school will have access to education thanks to a cooperation between Telenor Pakistan and Orenda.
Five public and one private Model Virtual Schools have been integrated into Taleemabad in Islamabad as part of the pilot project’s first phase in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training.
Additionally, six workshops were held where fundamental digital skills and digital tutoring were provided to more than 100 primary schools.
All classrooms were furnished with fundamental Information and Communications Technology resources and were wired for connectivity to allow instructors and students to put their newly acquired knowledge into practise.
The lessons learned from the project’s pilot phase will help the schools improve their information dissemination abilities and catch up to some of the greatest institutions in the nation.
The move is in line with Telenor Pakistan’s mission to equip Pakistan’s underprivileged children and schools with high-quality digital educational offerings.
“In today’s fast speed of digital adoption, it is our obligation to ensure that our nation’s youth continues their thirst for knowledge,” stated Kamal Ahmed, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of Telenor Pakistan.
He added, “Our partnership with Taleemabad is a means towards increasing accessibility to education as we work towards bridging the digital divide and creating sustainable solutions for a brighter future for every Pakistani.”
