Telenor Pakistan has forged a strategic partnership with Crop2X, an agritech leader, to introduce smart farming solutions aimed at transforming the agricultural sector in Pakistan. The collaboration is designed to empower farmers with data-driven crop monitoring tools, enhancing productivity and sustainability. An MoU was formalized between Areej Khan, Chief People Officer at Telenor Pakistan, and Ayesha Alam Khurram, CEO of Crop2X, during a ceremony held at Telenor Pakistan Campus 345 in Islamabad.

This partnership will leverage Telenor Pakistan’s vast digital ecosystem, including its ‘My Telenor App’ (MTA) and the mAgri platform, to extend Crop2X’s innovative farming solutions to over 20 million customers. The primary goal is to provide farmers with essential tools to optimize crop growth, manage resources efficiently, and forecast and control pest outbreaks. These initiatives are expected to address critical agricultural challenges and promote sustainable farming practices across the country.

The collaboration brings together experts from various fields, including data scientists, software developers, hardware engineers, and agronomists, who will work in tandem to implement effective solutions. Areej Khan emphasized the importance of digital innovation in transforming industries and highlighted that this partnership will empower farmers to thrive in a modern and sustainable manner. Ayesha Alam Khurram echoed these sentiments, expressing enthusiasm about bringing data-driven solutions to a broader farming community in Pakistan, ultimately driving growth in the agricultural sector.

This partnership signifies a pivotal move towards smarter farming practices in Pakistan. With the use of advanced technologies and expert insights, Telenor Pakistan and Crop2X aim to significantly enhance agricultural productivity, improve sustainability, and contribute to the long-term development of the country’s farming industry.
