Tech Valley has been honored with the Award of Appreciation for Excellent Partnership by Google for Education at the Google Partner Summit Asia Pacific (APAC) 2026, held in Singapore and described by the company as one of the region’s biggest stages for education technology. Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Umar Farooq received the award on behalf of the entire team. Tech Valley shared the news through its official LinkedIn page, saying the recognition comes from the work its team does every day in the education sector. The award adds to the company’s standing as a partner of Google for Education in Pakistan, where it has worked with schools, universities, and government bodies on digital learning.

According to Tech Valley, the recognition reflects work built around three areas. The first is access, where the company provides affordable Chromebooks for learners and institutions so that more classrooms can use digital tools in daily teaching. The second is skills, with training for educators, students, and professionals across schools, universities, businesses, and government bodies. Together these two areas cover both the devices that students and teachers use and the know-how needed to make good use of them, and both are needed for technology to make a difference in a classroom. A recent example is Punjab, where Computerworld Pakistan reported that a partnership between Tech Valley and the Punjab Education Foundation trained 2,103 teachers and onboarded 86 partner schools onto the Google Read Along application.

The third area is safety, where Tech Valley focuses on responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) use and safer online habits for children, parents, and teachers. As AI tools and online platforms become part of how young people learn, guidance for the adults who support them matters as much as access to the tools themselves. Presenting these three areas together, the company described a model in which devices, training, and online safety move forward side by side, with each part supporting the others. Receiving the award on a regional stage also places that model in front of other Google for Education partners across the Asia Pacific region, many of whom are working on similar questions about access, skills, and safe use of technology in education.

Tech Valley thanked Google for Education, along with its partners across government, academia, industry, and civil society, for making this impact possible. The company added that the award was received on behalf of everyone who has contributed to its programmes, from educators in classrooms to institutional partners. The award was given specifically for partnership, which points to the collaborative nature of the work carried out with Google for Education and with local institutions. More information about the company and its programmes is available on its website.
