National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) has opened registration for Cohort 2, Batch 2 of its Blended International Information Technology (IT) Training programme, offering free, internationally recognised International Business Machines (IBM) Professional Certificate courses to people who want to upgrade their skills and advance in the IT industry. Registration is now open, and training will be held in Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta. Candidates can apply through the online portal. The announcement was shared through the official LinkedIn page of NAVTTC and invites interested applicants to move toward certification without paying course fees. The programme sits within the technical and vocational training work carried out by the commission, which has been placing growing emphasis on IT skills for young people.

Three courses are being offered in this batch. The IBM iOS and Android Mobile App Developer Professional Certificate is aimed at those who want to build applications for the two most widely used mobile platforms. The IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate covers the work of collecting, cleaning, and analysing data, and NAVTTC course outlines for the programme refer to tools such as Python, SQL, Excel, Tableau, and Power BI. The IBM Full Stack JavaScript Developer Professional Certificate focuses on both front-end and back-end web application development, which makes it relevant for candidates interested in building complete web products. Together the three courses cover mobile development, data work, and web engineering, which are among the areas where employers in the technology sector look for trained people.

The programme follows the blended model of NAVTTC, which combines online learning with on-premises training and was described when applications opened for the earlier intake. The new batch continues that approach with a focus on IBM courses, and its training cities are spread across Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan, which gives candidates in several parts of the country a chance to take part without relocating to a major technology hub.

For learners, the main attraction is that an internationally recognised certificate comes at no cost, which lowers a barrier that often stands between young people and professional IT training. NAVTTC said the programmes are meant to help participants upgrade their skills and advance their careers in the IT industry, and the mix of mobile development, data analysis, and full stack JavaScript reflects skills that remain in steady demand. Candidates who wish to take part can register through the portal while registration remains open. Those who are still deciding between the three courses may find it useful to review what each certificate covers and match it with their own background and career goals before submitting an application through the NAVTTC portal.
