Tech Valley Pakistan, a digital transformation services company, has completed a two-day hands-on training programme for the information technology team of the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTAA), successfully transferring full administrative control of the Google Admin Console across 40 districts and more than 100 schools in Punjab. The training, conducted for the Authority’s IT Director and his core team, marks a significant step in ensuring that the educational body can independently manage its Google Workspace environment at scale without ongoing dependence on an external technology partner.
The training was structured around three core areas identified as essential for the long-term viability of the digital infrastructure. The first focused on user management, covering the processes for streamlining access provisioning and account administration for thousands of students and educators spread across the province. The second pillar addressed Google Workspace policies, with the PECTAA team trained on establishing security configurations and operational controls appropriate for a large, multi-district educational deployment. The third area covered reporting and analytics, equipping the team with the ability to use data-driven insights to monitor user engagement, track system health, and make informed decisions about the administration of the platform going forward.
The handover of full administrative control to PECTAA’s internal team is designed to give the Authority long-term autonomy over its digital infrastructure rather than remaining in a managed-services arrangement. For an institution overseeing curriculum, training and assessment across dozens of districts, the ability to independently manage user accounts, configure access policies, and monitor platform performance is a practical prerequisite for scaling digital tools effectively across a large and geographically distributed school network. The initiative reflects a broader pattern in Pakistan’s education sector, where provincial authorities are increasingly investing in building internal technology capacity alongside deploying digital platforms, recognising that sustainable adoption requires in-house expertise rather than outsourced management.
