Daraz has installed solar energy panels at its Lahore location, taking a step toward environmental sustainability. This effort’s major purpose is to enhance the environment through boosting ecosystem sustainability.

Pakistan, according to reports, has various obstacles in its efforts to minimise carbon emissions and environmental degradation, as well as overcoming obstructions to achieving the goal to build a sustainable ecosystem. Daraz, on the other hand, is consciously acting as a responsible member of society by taking steps to reduce its carbon footprint as a country’s corporate behemoth.

Daraz rose to the top of the energy optimization ladder with the primary purpose of helping the community through carbon reduction. Solar panels are expected to reduce carbon emissions by 104 metric tonnes per year, which is equivalent to growing 176 trees.

The globe is working swiftly to safeguard the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions; nevertheless, Pakistan may take pride in the fact that its domestic sectors, such as Daraz, have pledged to emit no greenhouse gases.

“Pakistan is one of the top ten countries most hit by climate change,” says Ahmed Tanveer, Chief Operations Officer of Daraz. “Significant efforts are being done at the government level to reverse this trend.”

“As Daraz, we feel a responsibility to assist improve this situation, and we have set a goal for ourselves to reduce our carbon footprint; this project alone will help us lower our carbon footprint by 104 metric tonnes per year, the equivalent of planting 176 trees annually,” he stated. This is one of a number of sustainability projects we hope to finish in the coming years.”

The “Clean and Green” initiative in Pakistan was established with the purpose of improving the environment. The country’s fast population growth has put its economic and environmental sustainability in jeopardy. Daraz also plans to convert all of its facilities to solar energy, which will eliminate the need for fossil fuels.
