Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, under the Tech Destination Pakistan platform, has extended the enrolment deadline for companies wishing to host IT apprentices as part of the SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program Batch 2. Host companies now have until February 20, 2026, to register or update their profiles on the portal to participate in strengthening Pakistan national IT talent pipeline. The program provides an opportunity for IT and ITeS companies to contribute to workforce development while accessing emerging talent across the country.

SkillBridge Batch 2 is open to recent IT graduates who have completed their degree or received their transcript within the last two years and maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.5. The six month apprenticeship program offers hands-on professional experience combined with a monthly stipend of PKR 30,000, providing both financial support and practical exposure to the participants. The initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements, preparing graduates to contribute effectively to the rapidly growing IT sector.

Companies interested in hosting apprentices are encouraged to register through the portal at https://lnkd.in/d7xHFT_5, while existing participating organizations should ensure their profiles are updated to remain eligible for Batch 2. The Ministry emphasized that timely registration and profile updates are essential for planning placements and matching apprentices with suitable host companies. By fostering structured industry engagement, the program aims to build a sustainable talent pipeline that aligns with Pakistan digital economy goals.

Through SkillBridge, the Ministry seeks to promote collaboration between academia and the IT industry, enabling young professionals to gain experience in real world work environments while simultaneously supporting companies in meeting workforce needs. The extension provides additional time for both companies and applicants to participate, ensuring broader access to this nationally significant program.
