Sindh IT Company (SITC) has engaged with Pathfinder International and the Women Development Department (WDD) to advance the institutionalization of the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Helpline Dashboard. The initiative, supported through technical assistance from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), aims to strengthen digital governance and ensure that technology is effectively leveraged to support women’s safety and empowerment in Sindh. The upgraded GBV Helpline Dashboard, developed by Verge Systems, has reached a stage where its integration into government infrastructure is essential for sustainable operation and long-term impact.
During the meeting, Pathfinder International sought guidance from SITC to ensure the dashboard is securely hosted on appropriate government infrastructure, aligning with provincial standards for data protection and service delivery. SITC’s involvement brings valuable expertise in developing and managing government-grade digital systems, which will help ensure that the platform remains secure, reliable, and responsive to the needs of its users. The initiative reflects growing collaboration among public institutions, private technology providers, and international development partners working to enhance digital tools that address social challenges, particularly gender-based violence.
