Sindh IT Company (SITC) joined an important working discussion with Meta, led by Honorable Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, SACM for IT Ali Rashid, senior ministers, and Secretary S&ITD, to explore collaboration opportunities under the province’s flagship “Digital Sindh” initiative. The meeting aimed to identify how technology can be leveraged to enhance governance, empower citizens, and support inclusive digital growth across the province.

The conversation focused on several key areas central to Sindh’s digital transformation. These included improving e-governance communication channels to make public services more transparent and accessible, digitizing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance their market access and financial inclusion, and introducing digital and AI-driven tools to improve service delivery and educational technology (EdTech) outcomes. Both parties also discussed the importance of digital awareness programs, especially on data privacy, online safety, and tackling misinformation—issues that are becoming increasingly relevant as more citizens and businesses move online.

Representing SITC, CEO Zainulabedin Shah participated actively in aligning these focus areas with Sindh’s execution roadmap. He emphasized the company’s role in implementing practical, people-focused digital solutions and ensuring that the benefits of technology reach underserved communities. The discussion highlighted SITC’s commitment to developing programs that promote digital skills, entrepreneurship, and inclusion, particularly for youth and women. By mapping Meta’s technical capabilities with provincial priorities, the collaboration aims to accelerate progress in key areas such as digital literacy, entrepreneurship support, and responsible technology adoption.

As a follow-up to the meeting, technical teams from both sides will work together to scope future initiatives. These will include capacity-building programs, digital training workshops, and technology enablement projects for MSMEs to help them integrate into the digital economy. There will also be an emphasis on promoting responsible and ethical technology use across communities. This engagement not only supports the Government of Sindh’s broader vision of a connected and tech-enabled province but also reinforces SITC’s role as its digital transformation arm. Through partnerships with leading technology companies like Meta, SITC continues to play a vital part in building a sustainable digital ecosystem that empowers citizens, enhances governance, and drives economic growth across Sindh.
