Sindh provincial government is undergoing a significant digital transformation, as announced by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. At a recent e-governance meeting, Shah directed all government departments to adopt digital systems.

The IT secretary presented plans for a comprehensive e-system, which will be presented to the Chief Minister for final approval. This system will cover not only central government departments but also District Commissioner (DC) offices across Sindh.

The District Commissioner’s office in Sukkur has already successfully transitioned to a digital system, serving as a pilot project. The Sindh government aims to replicate this success in other districts.

Chief Minister Shah emphasized the importance of digital systems in enhancing transparency and accountability within the government. He envisions a digitally empowered Sindh with improved public services, reduced bureaucracy, and accelerated economic growth.

The digital transformation will support online services, automate manual processes, and reduce paperwork. This should ultimately improve citizen engagement and participation in governance.
