Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja is set to attend and speak at the Digital Nation Pakistan Ministerial Roundtable, organized in collaboration with GSMA, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders and international stakeholders to discuss the country’s digital future. The session, titled Digital Pakistan 2030, Securing Investment, Trust and Inclusive Growth in a Fragmented Digital World, is scheduled to take place on July 28, 2026 at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad.
The roundtable is expected to focus on strengthening Pakistan’s digital ecosystem, attracting greater investment into the country’s technology sector, and accelerating innovation across different areas of the digital economy. Discussions during the session are likely to touch on how Pakistan can continue advancing its Digital Pakistan 2030 vision at a time when digital growth globally is increasingly shaped by fragmented policy environments and shifting international trust dynamics around data, technology and cross border digital cooperation.
The event brings together government officials and industry representatives to examine practical steps for building investor confidence in Pakistan’s digital sector while working toward broader goals of inclusive digital growth that extends benefits beyond major urban centers. Given GSMA’s involvement as co-organizer, the discussion is also expected to draw on international perspectives around mobile connectivity, digital infrastructure and policy frameworks that have supported digital transformation efforts in other markets.
The roundtable adds to a series of engagements the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication has taken part in this year aimed at positioning Pakistan’s digital economy for continued growth, with officials continuing to emphasize investment, innovation and inclusion as central themes in the country’s broader digital transformation agenda heading toward the 2030 target.
