Sehat Kahani has launched a network of e-health clinics across remote regions in Sindh and Punjab through a new collaboration with Fauji Fertilizer Company – Marketing (FFC) and Sona Welfare Foundation. The initiative aims to bridge critical healthcare gaps in underserved communities by providing access to doctors through digital platforms. The effort is backed by a shared vision among the partnering organizations to make quality healthcare available to all citizens, regardless of geographic or socioeconomic barriers.
These clinics utilize Sehat Kahani’s telemedicine infrastructure, enabling consultations with qualified physicians through digital channels. A core element of this model is its reliance on a nationwide network of female doctors and frontline health workers. Many of these women had previously left the formal workforce but are now re-engaged through the platform, contributing to healthcare delivery from within their homes or dedicated telehealth centers. This not only supports healthcare access in hard-to-reach areas but also empowers women professionals and enhances inclusion in the digital economy.
Sona Welfare Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of FFC, has played a critical role in enabling the launch of these clinics. Their support helps address the longstanding healthcare needs in rural areas where physical medical infrastructure is often lacking or out of reach. The new clinics provide access to general practitioners and specialists, offering services such as medical consultations, diagnostics, prescription management, and follow-ups through a tech-enabled interface managed by trained staff on the ground.
Through this partnership, patients living in isolated communities can now connect with doctors without needing to travel long distances. The model is designed to be cost-effective and scalable, focusing on creating sustainable impact by integrating digital health services into the broader healthcare landscape. Each clinic is equipped with the necessary digital tools and connectivity solutions to facilitate smooth doctor-patient interactions, ensuring continuity of care and timely medical interventions.
Sehat Kahani’s model has been widely recognized for addressing dual challenges: expanding healthcare delivery and providing career continuity for qualified but underutilized women doctors. With FFC’s reach in the agricultural and industrial heartlands of the country and Sona Welfare Foundation’s on-ground presence, the collaboration extends Sehat Kahani’s services to populations that have historically had limited or no access to regular medical consultations.
This partnership reflects a broader shift toward leveraging digital platforms for public welfare, combining private sector expertise, nonprofit outreach, and health tech innovation. By integrating local support with telemedicine, the clinics are positioned to have a lasting impact on preventive care, chronic disease management, and health awareness in rural Pakistan.
