An exclusive GAIN Online Awareness and Engagement Session is set to bring together technology leaders and IT firms focused on exploring new pathways for scaling beyond traditional funding models. The session will feature Dr. Muhammad Ali Farid Khwaja, Commissioner at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), who will lead a detailed masterclass on raising capital through stock exchange listings as a mechanism to accelerate Pakistan’s IT export growth. The event is positioned as an interactive knowledge-sharing opportunity for companies aiming to transition from private funding structures to public market participation.

Dr. Khwaja brings over 22 years of experience across global capital markets and entrepreneurship, with a professional background that includes co-founding Oxford Frontier Capital and serving as CEO of a London Stock Exchange listed company. He is a Rhodes Scholar and LUMS alumnus, and his experience spans investment banking, regulatory frameworks, and startup ecosystem development. In this session, he is expected to share practical insights drawn from his work in international financial markets, focusing on how IT companies can structure themselves for long term capital access through regulated exchange listings.

The masterclass titled “Raising Capital through Stock Exchange Listings to Accelerate Pakistan’s IT Export Growth” will focus on helping technology firms understand the step-by-step requirements for listing on PSX or international markets. Participants will be guided through IPO pathways, compliance frameworks, and governance expectations from a regulatory standpoint. The session will also provide expert regulatory insights directly from SECP, offering clarity on how firms can align their operations with listing requirements while maintaining transparency and financial discipline. The discussion is intended to help companies better understand the structural process involved in accessing public capital markets.

In addition to regulatory and procedural guidance, the session will also explore broader strategic benefits of public listings. These include enhanced brand credibility, increased investor confidence, and improved access to strategic global partnerships that can support expansion in international markets. The conversation will also cover real world case-based insights from Dr. Khwaja’s experience in global investment banking and entrepreneurship, providing practical examples of how companies can position themselves for sustainable financial growth. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM PKT and participation is exclusively reserved for PSEB-registered companies. The session is part of ongoing efforts under Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan and Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) to support capacity building within the IT and IT enabled services sector.
