SECP Streamlines NBFC Formation with Specimen MOAs for Various Sectors. The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has taken a significant step to ease the process of forming Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFCs) by introducing sample Memorandum of Associations (MOAs) for several NBFC sectors.

On the SECP website, interested parties can now access specimen MOAs that cater to various NBFC incorporation needs. These include Private Fund Management, REIT Management, Asset Management, Pension Fund Management, Micro Financing, Discounting Services, Housing Finance, Leasing, Investment Advisory, Investment Finance, and Securities Adviser/Futures Adviser.

This facilitation is aimed at enabling sponsors to establish specialized businesses independently, eliminating the need for external consultants or middlemen.

Notably, the SECP has previously made available sample MOAs for over 100 industries on its website, enhancing public awareness and providing convenience for potential investors. With this latest move, the SECP continues its efforts to streamline processes and promote growth in the financial sector.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
