SECP in collaboration with FPCCI, recently hosted an awareness seminar in Islamabad aimed at educating the business community about the benefits of corporatization and the SECP’s ongoing digitization journey. The seminar, which attracted a diverse group of businessmen and entrepreneurs, provided an in-depth look into the regulatory processes and initiatives that the SECP is implementing to support and enhance the ease of doing business in Pakistan.

During the seminar, SECP officials gave a detailed presentation outlining the commission’s scope and functions, focusing particularly on the incorporation process and the advantages of corporatizing businesses. The seminar highlighted how corporatization can contribute to business growth by improving corporate governance, increasing access to capital, and providing legal protections for business owners.

The event also emphasized the role of digitization in streamlining regulatory processes. SECP officials outlined how technological advancements have transformed the way businesses interact with the commission, making it easier and more efficient to complete necessary documentation and comply with regulations. The move toward a fully digitized platform is seen as a step forward in reducing bureaucracy and increasing transparency, both of which are critical for encouraging investment and business development in Pakistan.

The seminar also featured an interactive session, where participants were given the opportunity to ask practical questions about the benefits of corporatization and the SECP’s digitization efforts. These questions were addressed in detail, with officials providing clear answers that further clarified the importance of these initiatives for the business community.

The General Secretary of FPCCI, who was in attendance, praised SECP for its continued efforts in promoting digitalization, noting that such initiatives are crucial for improving the overall business climate in Pakistan. He emphasized that the digitization of regulatory processes is expected to have a significant positive impact on the ease of doing business in the country, ultimately benefiting entrepreneurs and businesses of all sizes.

The seminar concluded on a positive note with a vote of thanks, where SECP reiterated its commitment to fostering a business-friendly environment in Pakistan. The event underscored the SECP’s efforts to promote corporate governance and transparency, as well as its determination to modernize Pakistan’s business landscape through digital innovation.
