Sazgar is preparing to launch Arcfox in Pakistan, adding a third Chinese automotive brand to its portfolio alongside GWM and BAIC. The company plans to introduce two Arcfox models initially: the T1 EV and the T5 REEV, extending its existing assembly and distribution partnerships in the country. News of the planned launch first emerged through a social media post claiming Sazgar would introduce the two Arcfox models in Pakistan, with the company’s senior management later confirming the development and saying vehicle samples are expected to arrive in around 10 days. Sazgar had originally planned to display the vehicles at the Pakistan Auto Show 2026, but shipping delays prevented them from arriving in time, echoing a similar delay affecting Nora’s NEO and METRO quadricycle launches around the same event.
Arcfox is a Chinese new-energy vehicle brand owned by BAIC Group, one of China’s major state-owned automotive groups, established in 2017 with its international debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The brand was developed for the higher-end, technology-focused vehicle market, with its vehicles co-engineered alongside Canadian manufacturing company Magna and using smart-cabin and autonomous-driving technologies powered by Huawei. Arcfox is currently expanding beyond China into the Middle East, Europe, and South Asia, having recently made its Brazilian debut at the Festival Interlagos in August 2026, with Pakistan now among its additional target markets. Notably, Arcfox is not connected to GWM despite both being distributed by Sazgar in Pakistan, since BAIC owns Arcfox while GWM and BAIC operate as entirely separate companies internationally, meaning Arcfox vehicles will follow a different design language and product philosophy from Sazgar’s existing GWM lineup.
The Arcfox T1 is a subcompact electric hatchback and crossover that would compete in Pakistan with affordable EVs including the BYD Atto 2, MG4 EV, and Dongfeng Vigo. It uses a single electric motor driving the front wheels and relies entirely on battery power with no petrol-powered backup, offering a battery option of either 33.4 kWh or 42.3 kWh LFP and a CLTC-rated range between 320 and 425 km, with motor output ranging from 70 kW (94 hp) to 95 kW (127 hp). The T1 has performed reasonably well in China since its September 2025 launch, with roughly 43,500 units sold in an incomplete 2025 and 27,000 more in the first five months of 2026, though it still trails category leaders like the BYD Dolphin and Geely Geome Xingyuan by a wide margin.
The Arcfox T5 REEV is a mid-size SUV that combines an electric drivetrain with a 1.5-liter petrol range extender used only to generate electricity for the battery rather than directly driving the wheels, allowing it to operate like an EV while extending overall range. In Pakistan, it would compete with range-extended and plug-in SUVs already available locally, including the Deepal S05 and Forthing Friday, offering peak power of 200 kW (268 hp), peak torque of 360 Nm, a 0-100 km/h time of 6.5 seconds, a 215 km EV-only range, and a combined range of 1,215 km with 30-80 percent fast charging achievable in 15 minutes. The SUV also features a 15.6-inch infotainment display, a 22.8-inch head-up display, and Level 2 ADAS driver assistance. Sazgar has not yet announced an official launch date, pricing, or booking details for either model, with the only confirmed timeline being the arrival of vehicle samples in roughly 10 days from the September 22 announcement.
