Saudi Arabia’s General Presidency of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques has launched a multilingual digital guide app to assist Pakistani pilgrims visiting Haramain Sharifain. Available in Urdu along with several other languages, the application aims to make it easier for pilgrims to access religious information, daily worship schedules, and other important guidance during their visit to the holy sites. This initiative highlights Saudi Arabia’s ongoing digital transformation strategy to improve services for visitors through technology and enhance their overall spiritual experience.

The app offers a broad range of features designed to provide convenient and centralized access to religious and informational resources. Pilgrims can view prayer times, listen to and read Friday sermons, and access profiles of imams and muezzins serving at Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi. Additionally, users can read digital versions of the Holy Quran, find daily Masnoon Azkar, and access a library of authentic Duas. The platform includes a special section for those performing I’tikaf during Ramadan, featuring step-by-step guidance and information to help users fulfill their spiritual commitments effectively.

One of the key highlights of the app is its time indicator feature, which helps users track intervals between prayers, allowing them to plan their worship schedule more efficiently. The app has been developed with an intuitive interface to ensure accessibility for a diverse group of users, including those who may not be familiar with modern technology. Its support for multiple languages—Arabic, Urdu, English, Turkish, French, Malawian, and Indonesian—ensures that pilgrims from different regions can use it comfortably without facing language barriers.

To make access even easier, QR codes have been strategically placed throughout the Two Holy Mosques. Visitors can scan these codes with their smartphones to instantly download the application and begin using its features. This integration of technology within religious spaces reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader vision of merging tradition with digital innovation. The initiative aligns with the country’s commitment to enhancing pilgrim services through modern solutions that are inclusive, user-friendly, and efficient.

The Urdu digital guide app for Pakistani pilgrims serves as a significant technological milestone in improving accessibility and convenience for visitors performing religious duties. By offering a single platform that provides authentic religious content, live updates, and prayer-related information, Saudi Arabia continues to demonstrate how digital advancements can complement and enrich the spiritual journeys of millions of pilgrims visiting Haramain Sharifain each year.
