Salaam Takaful Limited, a pioneer in innovative Islamic insurance solutions, has achieved another groundbreaking feat. They have established Salaam Family Takaful Limited, the world’s first-ever digital-only Islamic Life Insurance company.

This landmark development was solidified when Mr. Akif Saeed, Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), awarded the coveted license to Mr. Rizwan Hussain, MD and CEO of Salaam Family Takaful Limited. The Shariah Board of Salaam Family Takaful also endorsed the new organization, ensuring complete adherence to Islamic principles in its operations and offerings.

A Digital Revolution in Islamic Life Insurance

Salaam Family Takaful Limited promises a complete end-to-end digital experience, complying with all SECP regulations.Mr. Rizwan Hussain expressed his enthusiasm: “This license marks the beginning of a new brand that will not only embody customer focus and innovation but also introduce revolutionary Islamic Life Insurance and Savings products. Our extensive digital infrastructure positions us as the world’s first fully digital Life Takaful operator, and we are confident our offerings will provide an exceptional digital experience.”

While details are expected soon, company sources hint at a complete departure from traditional Life Insurance and Family Takaful products. These offerings will be “disruptive” in terms of policyholder benefits and features, leveraging technology and real-time information for a truly unique value proposition.

Building upon the success of its parent company, Salaam Takaful Limited, the largest general takaful operator in Pakistan,Salaam Family Takaful Limited seeks to replicate that success in the life insurance and family takaful space. Digital processes and innovative products are at the heart of this new venture, aiming to transform the Islamic life insurance landscape.

Salaam Family Takaful Limited’s groundbreaking initiative promises to redefine Islamic Life Insurance globally. With a focus on digital accessibility and unique features, this company is poised to empower customers and reshape the industry for the future.
