Roshan Digital Account has crossed a significant milestone, surpassing 12 billion dollars in total inflows while recording more than 900000 accounts opened by Overseas Pakistanis. The achievement reflects continued confidence from the Pakistani diaspora in the digital banking initiative introduced to facilitate convenient and secure financial engagement with the country.

Launched to enable non resident Pakistanis to open bank accounts remotely, Roshan Digital Account has steadily grown into one of the most impactful financial inclusion programmes in recent years. The platform allows Overseas Pakistanis to invest in local instruments, send remittances, access banking services, and participate in economic activities without visiting Pakistan physically. The steady rise in inflows indicates sustained engagement from overseas communities seeking transparent and streamlined financial channels.

State Bank of Pakistan expressed appreciation to Overseas Pakistanis for their continued trust and support in the RDA initiative. The central bank acknowledged that the milestone demonstrates the diaspora’s strong connection to Pakistan’s financial system and their willingness to contribute to national economic development. The growth in account openings also suggests that digital onboarding and simplified regulatory frameworks have improved accessibility for overseas account holders across multiple jurisdictions.

The inflow figure of 12 billion dollars underscores the role of Roshan Digital Account in strengthening foreign exchange reserves and expanding formal remittance channels. With over 900000 accounts now active, the initiative continues to expand its footprint, offering diversified investment avenues and banking solutions tailored to non resident Pakistanis. The milestone reinforces the importance of digital banking infrastructure in enhancing cross border financial participation and deepening Pakistan’s engagement with its global diaspora.
