The complete specifications of the Redmi Note 17S have reportedly surfaced just days before its official debut, offering a detailed look at Xiaomi’s upcoming mid-range smartphone. The leak suggests that Xiaomi is focusing on meaningful hardware upgrades across the display, performance, camera system and battery while maintaining the Redmi Note series’ reputation for delivering premium features at an affordable price point. With the official launch approaching, the Redmi Note 17S is expected to compete aggressively in the crowded mid-range smartphone market.

According to the leaked details, the Redmi Note 17S will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smoother scrolling, improved gaming performance and vibrant visuals. The panel is also expected to offer high peak brightness and slim bezels for a more immersive viewing experience. Powering the device will reportedly be the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, providing enhanced multitasking, gaming performance and AI-powered capabilities compared to its predecessor.

Photography is expected to be one of the phone’s biggest highlights. The Redmi Note 17S is tipped to feature a 200MP primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies and video calls, Xiaomi is expected to include a 20MP front-facing camera housed in a centered punch-hole cutout. The upgraded imaging system is likely to offer improved low-light photography, better stabilization and enhanced AI-powered camera features aimed at content creators and mobile photographers.

Battery life is also expected to receive a significant boost, with the Redmi Note 17S rumored to pack a 7,000mAh battery supporting 90W wired fast charging, allowing users to recharge the device in a relatively short time despite its large battery capacity. Additional reported features include HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, NFC, IR blaster, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. While Xiaomi has yet to officially confirm these specifications, the leaked details suggest the Redmi Note 17S could become one of the most feature-packed smartphones in its segment when it launches later this month.
