The Rawalpindi Development Authority has launched and operationalized the Housing Societies Management System for digital processing of matters related to private housing schemes within its jurisdiction. The system was introduced on the directions of Rawalpindi Division Commissioner and RDA Director General Salman Ghani, aimed at ensuring more transparent, efficient and streamlined processing of applications.
An RDA spokesperson said the Punjab Land Records Authority had cleared HSMS for implementation at the RDA, allowing sponsors of private housing schemes to now submit applications through the HSMS portal under applicable rules and regulations. The system provides a centralized platform for submitting, scrutinizing and processing applications, reducing paperwork and helping ensure timely disposal of cases that previously relied on physical documentation.
The RDA has advised sponsors to submit fresh applications, revisions and other admissible matters through HSMS instead of submitting physical applications going forward. Applicants must upload all required information and supporting documents properly to avoid unnecessary delays, with the digital system designed to standardize how housing scheme related matters are reviewed and processed by the authority.
The spokesperson said the system marks a step toward digitization, transparency and improved service delivery in the management of private housing schemes. The RDA also asked sponsors and other stakeholders to cooperate for its smooth implementation and effective functioning, as the authority moves to phase out manual processing in favor of the new digital platform for private housing scheme applications.
