The Punjab Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Department has launched a new mobile application for the Assistive Devices & Wheelchair program, commonly referred to as ADWC, in alignment with Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Digital Punjab Vision. The platform is designed to provide citizens with disabilities easier access to assistive equipment across Punjab, offering a fully digital process from application to delivery. This initiative aims to make public services more inclusive while ensuring convenience and transparency for applicants.

Through the ADWC mobile app, citizens can now submit applications for a variety of assistive devices, including manual and motorized wheelchairs, paediatric chairs, prosthetic limbs, hearing aids, and other mobility support equipment, without the need to visit government offices. Once applications are approved, selected items are delivered directly to the applicant’s doorstep. Provincial officials highlighted that this digital approach not only simplifies the process but also reduces administrative delays, improves record-keeping, and enables real-time tracking of application status through unique tracking IDs provided to each applicant.

The initiative has already received significant engagement, with over 38,600 applications submitted through the ADWC portal, of which more than 11,200 have been approved and nearly 7,000 assistive devices delivered across 36 districts of Punjab. Field officers have been instructed to install the app, register eligible applicants, and conduct awareness campaigns to ensure maximum participation and outreach. By integrating the application process digitally, the department aims to empower persons with disabilities, improve accessibility, and create a more accountable and transparent service delivery system. Applicants can complete the process by visiting the official ADWC portal, creating an account using their CNIC or B-Form for minors, uploading required documentation, and selecting the devices they need.

Officials emphasized that the platform represents a broader effort to make government services technology-driven and citizen-centric. In addition to simplifying applications, the ADWC system provides monitoring and reporting capabilities to ensure timely delivery and equitable access across the province. Citizens requiring assistance can contact the dedicated helpline at 1312 or visit their nearest Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal office for guidance. By bringing this program online, Punjab sets a model for integrating technology into social welfare initiatives, demonstrating how digital tools can enhance accessibility, inclusivity, and efficiency for vulnerable populations.

The launch of ADWC reflects Punjab’s commitment to advancing digital governance while addressing the practical needs of citizens with disabilities. With continued expansion and awareness campaigns, the department expects the platform to reach more individuals, ensuring that assistive devices are accessible to those who need them most and that government services remain transparent, responsive, and inclusive. More information and application details can be found at ADWC Punjab.
