Pop culture in Pakistan, once limited to online spaces, niche fan groups, and private circles, is increasingly stepping into the public arena. Geek Con Lahore, powered by PUBG MOBILE, is one of the events leading this transformation. By uniting diverse elements such as anime, cosplay, competitive gaming, indie comics, music, and film, the festival offered a space where creative expression and fandom could thrive openly.

Geek Con was designed as a multi-genre festival where fans, cosplayers, storytellers, and creators came together to celebrate communities that have grown online and are now finding physical spaces to connect. The event highlighted the depth and diversity of modern pop culture, giving equal attention to Japanese animation, indie comic artistry, gaming tournaments, and creative storytelling.

PUBG MOBILE played a central role in shaping the energy of the festival, reinforcing its influence on Pakistan’s digital entertainment landscape. The platform has not only fueled local gaming culture but also contributed to the growth of esports and immersive gameplay experiences. At Geek Con, its presence helped transform what were once niche interests into widely celebrated cultural moments.

Held on August 2 and 3 at the Alhamra Arts Council in Lahore, Geek Con attracted large crowds eager to explore the various attractions. The PUBG MOBILE stall stood out immediately with its design inspired by the game’s iconic helmet, drawing visitors to step inside for an interactive experience. Attendees met popular PUBG MOBILE characters, engaged in cosplay contests, explored themed installations, and collected exclusive merchandise. The setup blended the game’s virtual environment with real-world engagement, creating opportunities for fans to connect with the title and each other in person.

Music was also a major highlight, with PUBG MOBILE hosting a live performance by rap duo Young Stunners on the second day of the event. This collaboration extended beyond the stage, as the Young Stunners Voice Pack – available in both Urdu and English – has been integrated into the game, giving Pakistani players a distinctly local touch to their in-game experience.

Across the two-day festival, the atmosphere was marked by enthusiasm and creativity, with attendees participating in activities, interacting with fellow fans, and immersing themselves in different aspects of pop culture. The event served as a meeting point for people of various interests, from anime lovers and comic book enthusiasts to competitive gamers and music fans.

Geek Con Lahore demonstrated that Pakistan’s appetite for diverse and creative cultural experiences is growing rapidly. With major entertainment brands like PUBG MOBILE actively supporting these initiatives, the country’s pop culture scene is expanding in visibility and influence. By providing platforms where global trends can meet local creativity, events like Geek Con are helping shape a vibrant entertainment landscape in Pakistan.
