Pak Telecom Mobile Limited has introduced an AI Voice Agent designed to automate and enhance customer call handling for businesses, according to a announcement shared by members of the company’s leadership team, including President and Chief Executive Officer Hatem Bamatraf and Chief Commercial Officer Atif Raza. The tool is built to manage inbound and outbound customer calls while capturing sentiment, generating transcripts, and producing real time reports intended to help businesses understand and respond to customer interactions more effectively.

The AI Voice Agent is positioned as a customer experience tool that goes beyond basic call handling, incorporating sentiment analysis to gauge customer emotions during conversations and converting spoken interactions into written transcripts automatically. According to the announcement, the system also tracks agent performance through live insights, giving businesses visibility into how calls are being managed and where service quality can be improved. The product is aimed at companies looking to reduce response times and maintain more consistent service standards across high volumes of customer interactions, a persistent challenge for call center operations across sectors in Pakistan.

Automation of customer facing communication channels has been gaining traction among Pakistani businesses as companies look to manage rising call volumes without proportionally increasing staffing costs. Voice based artificial intelligence tools of this kind typically rely on a combination of speech recognition, natural language processing, and text to speech systems to conduct conversations that approximate human interaction, while simultaneously extracting structured data such as sentiment scores and call summaries for later analysis. For telecom operators managing large customer bases, tools that can triage and resolve routine queries automatically are increasingly seen as necessary infrastructure for maintaining service levels.

The launch reflects a broader pattern among Pakistani telecom and technology firms of embedding artificial intelligence more deeply into customer facing operations, following earlier moves by PTCL and Ufone into digital payment and self service tools. Businesses interested in the AI Voice Agent are being directed to PTML for demonstrations, with the company positioning the product as part of a wider effort to modernize customer interaction infrastructure. Further details on pricing, rollout timelines, and specific client deployments were not disclosed in the announcement.
