PTA has received technical bids from five international companies for consultant services to support the launch of 5G services in Pakistan.

The five companies that submitted bids are Aetha Consulting Limited, Detecon Consulting FZ-LLC, Frontier Economics Limited, KomKonsult (Private) Limited, and National Economic Research Associates Inc.

The PTA will now evaluate the technical bids and solicit financial bids from the shortlisted companies. After evaluating both technical and financial bids, the PTA will select a consultant firm to prepare a report on the launch of 5G services in Pakistan.

The report will be prepared in consultation with stakeholders and will serve as the basis for the launch of 5G in the country. The PTA aims to launch 5G services in Pakistan by April 2025, as targeted by the Government of Pakistan. The launch of 5G is expected to bring numerous benefits to the country, including faster data speeds, improved connectivity, and increased economic opportunities.

CWPK Legacy
Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. Initially providing news to IT executives only, once CIO Pakistan, its sister brand from the same family, was launched and took over the enterprise reporting domain in Pakistan, CWPK has emerged as a holistic technology media platform reporting everything tech in the country. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come. CWPK is part of the SPIN/IDG Wakhan media umbrella.
