iPhone 16 users in Pakistan now have a new option to register their devices with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority without paying the full amount of PTA taxes upfront. In a move aimed at easing the financial burden on consumers, Bank Alfalah has introduced an installment-based payment facility that allows users to pay their PTA tax obligations in easy monthly installments with zero percent markup. This initiative addresses one of the key concerns faced by iPhone buyers in the country, who have been hesitant to register their phones due to the high taxes required for connecting to local cellular networks.

Under the plan, users can register an iPhone 16 for Rs. 44,400 over three months or at a reduced installment of Rs. 22,200 across six months. While the program comes with 0% markup, it does carry a 5% processing fee charged by Bank Alfalah. The service is exclusively available to Bank Alfalah credit card holders, who can apply online or contact the bank directly for further details. This offering is expected to make the iPhone 16 more accessible to a wider audience in Pakistan, especially those who prefer spreading payments over time rather than paying in full.

Alongside this new financing arrangement, the iPhone 16 arrives in Pakistan with its signature design and updated specifications. The device features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with HDR10 and Dolby Vision support, providing high brightness and enhanced visuals. It is powered by Apple’s A18 chipset built on a 3 nm process, offering a combination of performance and energy efficiency. The phone comes in multiple storage options, starting at 128GB with 8GB RAM, and goes up to 512GB with 8GB RAM, ensuring that users have flexibility based on their storage needs.

On the camera side, the iPhone 16 continues Apple’s focus on advanced photography and videography. It includes a dual-camera setup with a 48 MP wide lens supported by sensor-shift optical image stabilization and a 12 MP ultrawide lens. Features such as Dolby Vision HDR, 4K recording, and dual-LED flash enhance both photo and video experiences. The front-facing 12 MP camera, coupled with the SL 3D depth sensor, enables high-quality selfies, secure Face ID authentication, and spatial audio recording. The device also retains Apple’s emphasis on durability and convenience with Ceramic Shield glass protection, IP68 water resistance, and MagSafe wireless charging support.

The introduction of PTA-approved installment payments for iPhone 16 taxes highlights the growing trend of financial institutions offering consumer-friendly digital financing solutions in Pakistan. While this specific offer is limited to Bank Alfalah’s credit card users, it reflects the increasing role of banks and fintech in facilitating access to high-end devices. By making registration costs more manageable, the initiative is expected to encourage more users to legally register their phones, reduce reliance on unregistered devices, and improve compliance with local telecom regulations. With strong demand for Apple devices in Pakistan, this move provides a pathway for wider adoption of the iPhone 16 in the local market.
