Pakistan Software Houses Association through its Startups and Entrepreneurship Committee hosted a focused webinar on Understanding the NIC Advantage, bringing together ecosystem leaders and early stage founders to explore how incubation platforms are strengthening Pakistan startup landscape. The session featured Farhad Shafqat Qayyum from National Incubation Center Peshawar and Andeel Ali from National Incubation Center Karachi, who shared detailed insights into the structure and impact of National Incubation Centers operating across the country.

During the discussion, speakers outlined how NICs provide structured incubation programs designed to guide startups from idea validation to market entry and scale. These programs combine mentorship from industry experts, access to investor networks, and connections with corporate partners to help founders refine business models and accelerate product development. Participants were briefed on how incubation frameworks support entrepreneurs in areas such as product market fit, regulatory compliance, financial planning, and go to market strategies. The speakers emphasized that NICs operate as integrated innovation hubs, offering physical infrastructure alongside advisory and networking support.

The webinar also highlighted the broader innovation ecosystem that NICs are helping to build nationwide. By fostering collaboration among academia, industry, investors, and policymakers, these centers aim to create a sustainable pipeline of high growth startups capable of competing regionally and globally. Attendees gained practical guidance on how to leverage NIC platforms effectively, including strategies for pitching to investors, utilizing mentorship opportunities, and accessing structured training modules tailored to different stages of startup maturity. The session underscored the importance of aligning entrepreneurial ambition with disciplined execution and ecosystem engagement.

Organized by P@SHA Startups and Entrepreneurship Committee in collaboration with NIC Karachi and NIC Peshawar, the webinar served as a platform for knowledge sharing and ecosystem alignment. By facilitating direct interaction between incubation leaders and aspiring founders, the initiative reinforced P@SHA commitment to strengthening Pakistan technology and startup sector through collaboration, capacity building, and structured support mechanisms.
