P@SHA Leaders Represent Pakistan’s IT Industry At GITEX Dubai 2025

Pakistan’s IT industry is making a strong presence at GITEX Dubai 2025, one of the world’s most prominent technology exhibitions, with key representatives from P@SHA participating in the global event taking place from October 13th to 17th. Among the delegation are Senior Vice Chairman of P@SHA Muhammad Umair Nizam, CEC Member and Chair of Diversity & Inclusion Sub-Committee Dr. Sonia Saleem, and CEC Member and Chair of AI Sub-Committee Sheikh Abdul Qadir. Their participation highlights Pakistan’s growing influence in the international technology landscape and its commitment to collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange.

Muhammad Umair Nizam, representing P@SHA as Senior Vice Chairman, is engaging with international leaders, investors, and policymakers at GITEX to discuss Pakistan’s digital progress and future opportunities for partnerships. His focus includes promoting the country’s IT potential, strengthening business-to-business connections, and showcasing how Pakistan’s technology firms are contributing to the global digital economy. Through his participation, P@SHA aims to enhance Pakistan’s visibility on the global tech stage, fostering collaborations that can lead to increased exports and capacity building within the local IT ecosystem.

Joining the delegation, Dr. Sonia Saleem, P@SHA CEC Member and Chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Sub-Committee, is also actively representing Pakistan’s IT industry at GITEX Dubai 2025. Dr. Sonia is engaging with international professionals on emerging technologies, digital progress, and initiatives to promote inclusivity within the tech workforce. Her presence emphasizes the role of diversity as a catalyst for creativity and innovation, aligning with P@SHA’s broader goals of building a more inclusive digital landscape in Pakistan. She is also expected to share insights on the role of women in technology and the steps being taken within Pakistan’s IT industry to create equal opportunities.

P@SHA CEC Member and Chair of AI Sub-Committee, Sheikh Abdul Qadir, is attending the event to represent Pakistan’s expertise in artificial intelligence and explore opportunities for collaboration with international AI firms and institutions. His participation aims to strengthen Pakistan’s engagement with global innovators and expand the country’s footprint in the AI domain. By connecting with technology leaders and investors at GITEX, Sheikh Abdul Qadir is helping promote the capabilities of Pakistani companies developing AI-driven solutions for various industries.

Adding to the delegation’s presence, Mohammad Ismail, CEO of SNSkies Pvt Ltd, is also representing Pakistan’s tech ecosystem at GITEX Global 2025 as part of the P@SHA delegation. His participation underlines the innovative spirit and entrepreneurial energy driving Pakistan’s technology exports.

This year, P@SHA has also joined hands with Eventage as the Outreach Partner for GITEX Dubai 2025, a collaboration aimed at amplifying Pakistan’s participation and ensuring broader exposure for its tech talent and businesses. The partnership will help showcase the country’s innovation, connect its startups and IT firms with global industry leaders, and open new avenues for growth and collaboration. With strong representation from Pakistan and growing global interest in its IT sector, GITEX Dubai 2025 serves as an important platform to highlight the nation’s digital potential and strengthen international partnerships.
