P@SHA Elects New Leadership to Drive Pakistan’s Tech Industry Forward

The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) has announced its newly elected leadership for the term 2024-2026, ushering in a new era of innovation and growth for the country’s thriving tech industry. The Central Executive Committee (CEC) elections for the 2024-2026 term were held on September 18, marking a significant milestone for PASHA, with over 25 candidates vying for 10 coveted seats across major cities, including Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.  

The newly elected Office Bearers bring a wealth of expertise and dedication to their roles:

– Chairman: Sajjad Syed (Chairman, Excellence Delivered – ExD)
– Senior Vice Chairman: Muhammad Umair Nizam (Group Director, Ecommerce Gateway)
– Vice Chairman: Raheel Iqbal (CEO, The Game Storm Studio)
– Treasurer: Muhammad Haris Naseer (COO & Director Business OPS, InfoTech Group)

The following industry experts have been elected to the Central Executive Committee (CEC):

– Abdul Wahab Ahmad (Director, ABFA Technologies)
– Hassan Bin Rizwan (CEO, Moonshot Animations)
– Mohammad Munaf Majeed (CEO, Server4Sale)
– Salman Dar (CEO, Itroos)
– Sheikh Abdul Qadir (MD, IDRAK Ai)
– Usman Akbar (CEO, Purelogics Group)

Driving Impactful Initiatives

With this new leadership, P@SHA aims to drive impactful initiatives, fostering growth, innovation, and collaboration within Pakistan’s tech ecosystem. They aim to achieve $5 billion in IT exports during FY25, advancing Pakistan’s tech industry sustainably.

Sajjad Mustafa Syed, the new Chairman of P@SHA also serves as the Chairman of Excellence Delivered. With experience from top global IT and consultancy firms like PwC, Oracle, and SAP, he’s set to drive Pakistan’s tech industry forward.

“P@SHA is committed to promoting Pakistan’s tech industry globally and creating opportunities for entrepreneurs, startups, and businesses,” said Sajjad Syed, newly elected Chairman at the Oath Taking and Annual General Meeting held at Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi. “We are eager to carry forward the legacy of the outgoing CEC, and working together to achieve our goals.”

P@SHA’s outgoing Chairman, Muhammad Zohaib Khan, shared impressive stats: Pakistan’s IT industry earned $3.2 billion in foreign exchange reserves in FY24, stabilizing the rupee-dollar parity and generating employment.

The Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA) is the premier trade association representing Pakistan’s software and IT industry. P@SHA’s mission is to promote the growth and development of the tech industry, providing a platform for networking, advocacy, and knowledge sharing.
