PSEB is hosting a webinar focused on inward remittance methods and cross-border payment options for Pakistan’s information technology industry, bringing together senior national and international experts from the banking and financial services sectors to address one of the most persistent operational pain points facing the country’s software exporters, freelancers, and technology firms.
Cross-border payment friction has long been cited as a structural obstacle for Pakistan’s information technology export community, affecting everyone from large software houses handling multi-million dollar contracts to individual freelancers trying to receive payments from international clients through compliant and cost-effective channels. The webinar is designed to move beyond general awareness and deliver practical, sector-specific guidance covering the full range of available remittance channels and inward payment mechanisms currently accessible to Pakistani information technology businesses and professionals. Participants will also receive guidance on regulatory requirements, compliance considerations, and industry best practices, equipping them with the knowledge needed to structure their payment workflows in a manner that satisfies both domestic and international financial regulations.
The session will include a live question and answer segment, giving attendees the opportunity to raise specific queries with the expert panel directly, making it particularly useful for finance and compliance teams within technology firms who deal with payment architecture on a day-to-day basis. The webinar is open to information technology exporters, software houses, freelancers, and finance and compliance professionals across the industry. It is scheduled for June 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time, organised by PSEB under the broader Tech Destination Pakistan initiative of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.
