The Pakistan Software Export Board has opened registrations for Batch 3 of its SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program, an initiative operating under the Prime Minister’s Skill Tech Pakistan Initiative that offers fresh information technology graduates a structured pathway into the country’s professional technology sector. The program provides a six-month hands-on industry experience placement at top technology companies across Pakistan, with participants receiving a monthly stipend of PKR 30,000 fully funded by the Government of Pakistan, making it a financially accessible opportunity for graduates who may not yet have the work experience required to compete for full-time positions in the job market.

The SkillBridge Apprenticeship Program is specifically designed to address the gap that exists between academic training and industry-ready employment in Pakistan’s information technology sector, where fresh graduates often find that theoretical knowledge acquired in university needs to be supplemented with practical, real-world work experience before they become competitive candidates for professional roles. By placing participants directly within technology companies for six months, the program gives graduates exposure to live projects, professional work environments, and industry mentorship while simultaneously giving employers a pipeline of developing talent they can evaluate and potentially absorb into full-time positions at the end of the apprenticeship period.

Eligibility for Batch 3 is open to recent information technology graduates whose degree or transcript has been issued within the last two years, with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.5 required to apply. The program is jointly supported by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and Tech Destination Pakistan, and registrations are now open through the official Tech Destination Pakistan skills portal at skills.techdestination.com. Interested graduates can also apply directly through the official application link shared in the program announcement, with Batch 3 marking a continued expansion of the SkillBridge initiative following the success of its earlier cohorts in connecting Pakistan’s growing pool of information technology graduates with meaningful first-step employment opportunities in the sector.
