TRECycle, in collaboration with Biz Today International powered by OK Estate & Builders, successfully organized the Properties Developer’s Summit on June 15, 2023, at the Marriott Hotel in Karachi. The summit served as a valuable platform for developers to delve into the latest industry trends, foster idea exchange, and foster collaboration on transformative real estate projects.

During his keynote presentation, Abdul Kareem Adhia delved into the concept of satellite cities/sister cities, citing examples such as Old Mumbai and New Mumbai, New York and New Jersey, and Karachi and Bahria Town or DHA Phase 9. Adhia highlighted the introduction of a water-based train service to facilitate commuting between New Mumbai and Old Mumbai, emphasizing that builders should not shoulder the entire responsibility for Karachi’s current condition, as they are guided by government and bureaucracy.

Sarwat Naseem Shah, the first guest speaker and Managing Director of Zaamin Builders, as well as Chairperson of Binae Education Foundation, shared her initiatives aimed at supporting disabled individuals. She discussed the provision of easily affordable installment plans spanning over a hundred months to facilitate their access to housing. Additionally, Shah mentioned empowering women by offering a 0% down payment plan when a plot is booked in a woman’s name.

Marium Madhupurwala, another guest speaker, shared her preference for appointing and training women in her real estate business. She recounted her experiences and offered support in various ways to promote gender equality and empowerment.

Muhammad Raza of Bigger Brick presented an innovative approach to recycling plastic and manufacturing plastic bricks as an eco-friendly alternative to concrete bricks. These durable plastic bricks possess sufficient load-bearing capacity, showcasing a creative solution to address plastic waste.

The summit also featured other notable speakers, including Usama Khan, Senior Regional Head of Imarat Group of Companies, who discussed their ongoing projects; Ansub Naqvi from Asani.io, who focused on water management; Syed Zain Ali from Fortify, who presented their account management venture; and Ambreen Bilal from TRE Cycle, who shed light on waste management and recycling strategies to combat climate change. The audience actively engaged with these projects, leading to an interactive and informative session.

Razzak Perdesi, the event organizer, concluded the summit by expressing gratitude to the esteemed guests and participants for their valuable presence and contributions.
