Pakistani businesses, get ready to hit the gas on digital payments! PayFast, the country’s leading payment service provider, has become the first to integrate with Raast Person-to-Merchant (P2M) services. This exciting development marks a major leap forward for Pakistan’s digital economy, paving the way for faster, cheaper, and more convenient transactions for everyone.

Raast: The New Money Mover on the Block

Launched in 2021 by the State Bank of Pakistan, Raast is an indigenous instant payment system. Think of it like a superhighway for money, allowing quick transfers between any bank account or financial institution, 24/7. P2P payments (think sending money to a friend) have already seen explosive growth, reaching a staggering PKR 3.96 trillion in the first half of 2024 alone!

Now, with P2M, the magic of Raast extends to businesses too. Imagine customers paying directly from their bank accounts using their Raast ID (IBAN). No more waiting for traditional clearing cycles, no more hefty transaction fees – just instant settlements, improved cash flow, and a smoother experience for everyone.

PayFast is at the forefront of this digital payment revolution. Through their integration with Raast P2M, they offer businesses a range of features, including:

Seamless integration of Raast alongside existing payment methods like credit cards and wallets.

Generate QR codes for quick in-store payments in a flash, perfect for sharing on WhatsApp or email.

Flexible payment request is another stellar feature. Need a payment now? Send an RTP (Now) request for instant completion. Want to give customers more time? Create an RTP (Later) link so they can pay at their convenience.

“We’re thrilled to be the first to offer Raast P2M,” said Adnan Ali, CEO of PayFast. “This partnership empowers businesses with innovative features that will fuel their growth.”

Mr. Arshad Raza, Chairman of Premier Systems, PayFast’s parent company, echoed the sentiment. “This achievement strengthens PayFast’s leadership position. Raast P2M opens doors to new markets and revolutionizes Pakistan’s digital payments landscape.”

The Road to a Cashless Future

With PayFast and Raast P2M leading the charge, Pakistan is accelerating towards a cashless future. Businesses will benefit from increased efficiency and happy customers, while consumers will enjoy a faster, more convenient way to shop and pay. Buckle up, Pakistan – the future of payments is here, and it’s looking bright!
