Pathfinder CITADEL Pakistan, Providentia Books, and Global Shapers Islamabad Hub have jointly launched the Artificial Intelligence, Technology and Future Careers Summer Bootcamp 2026, a ten-day initiative designed to give under-resourced young people access to practical technology education and the foundational skills needed to participate meaningfully in an increasingly digital economy.

The bootcamp brings together three organisations with complementary missions around youth development, education access, and community-driven innovation, combining their respective strengths to deliver a programme that goes beyond conventional computer literacy training. Over the course of ten interactive days, participants will cover Artificial Intelligence, digital literacy, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, communication skills, and future career pathways, with the curriculum structured to give students both the technical grounding and the professional confidence to pursue opportunities in technology-driven fields. The organisers have framed the programme’s central objective as shifting young people from being passive consumers of technology to active creators and problem-solvers who can apply digital tools to real-world challenges.

The collaboration between Pathfinder CITADEL, Providentia Books, and Global Shapers Islamabad reflects a growing trend of civil society, education, and youth network organisations pooling resources to address skills gaps that formal education systems have been slow to fill, particularly for students from lower-income backgrounds who face structural barriers to accessing quality technology training. By targeting under-resourced youth specifically, the bootcamp acknowledges that the digital divide in Pakistan is not simply a question of infrastructure or curriculum but of equitable access to the kind of hands-on, career-oriented learning that shapes long-term professional trajectories. The initiative positions Islamabad as a site of grassroots technology education activity alongside the government-led programmes currently being rolled out across the country, reinforcing the broader national direction of preparing Pakistan’s youth for a future shaped by Artificial Intelligence and digital transformation.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
